Prairie Baptist Fellowship was started in February of 2000 by a handful of families who believed there was a real need for a Christ-centered, family-friendly church that would emphasize the truths of God's Word and reach out to the Yelm area with Christs' love. Pastor Dan Lofgren was called to help establish this work, and for two years this fledgling body of believers met at Prairie Elementary School.

In September 2001, Pastor Phil Perry accepted the call to pastor the church and it has continued to grow under his leadership.

In 2002, we purchased a ten acre piece of land with a modest house. After many hours of work on the property and the house, we held our first service in our own building. What a blessing!

We have seen growth, both spiritually and in attendance, especially in the past year. From launching a new children's church program to starting Sunday evening services and garnering more participation in our music ministry, we are working together to grow a church that honors Christ and impacts our community. As we look forward to erecting a church building, we also are excited to see what the Lord has in store for our church.
